When I became pregnant with my first baby, I came to realize of all the toxic products and foods I been using and consuming for 30+ years. I decided to learn about the natural alternatives to improve my health, my family's health and the environment. I started buying less processed foods and products that are made with natural ingredients. I didn't do a complete 180, because for me it was harder to make changes since I'm not an experienced cook and I'm not a chemistry major. Plus I've had these bad eating and soda drinking habits for so many years. So I'm still struggling but still have the desire to improve the way I cook, eat, and live.
But after learning from different sources, I am now more aware about the things I use and consume. With so many products and world issues out there, sometimes it's really hard to know what companies you can really trust with some of the items that you can't make or grow yourself. But one can only try their best by becoming more aware.
Choosing to go natural doesn't mean you have to spend loads of money, yes some things that are better for us may be a little more expensive, but isn't it worth your health and to save the environment? I would think so. I feel when you go cheap on certain things, your health and/or the environment end up suffering.
For those of us that struggle making a complete change to live all-natural, as long as we strive to live a balanced life and trying our best everyday, is a step forward to a healthier life and planet :)
So next time you go shopping, read the ingredients and chemicals listed on the product, and choose Natural when you can!
